This organization is a 501c3 non-profit corporation; our coaches and staff do not get paid, and fees are used for the gym and tournament/league fees.
"We are a competitive basketball AAU club with a European and American approach to develop players in a positive environment. Our players who join our competitive and developmental youth teams get to play AAU tournaments and league games in San Marcos. We practice 2 times per week, and we play year-round for long-term development and a family culture approach. We keep our teams small with 8-9 players per team to allow our players to get maximized playing time."
Our mission as coaches is to give back to our community and the City of San Marcos by forming teams that play in our middle and local high schools.
Our goal is to develop starter players for our middle and high school basketball teams in San Marcos/Carlsbad/Vista/Encinitas/Escondido.

We’re dedicated to promoting a culture of community and strive to offer young athletes the opportunity to build lasting relationships, develop essential social skills, and become part of a supportive community that they may not find elsewhere.
Being part of our team means playing together and adopting a non-selfish approach to the game. We’re all about the European style of basketball, characterized by disciplined defense and structured offenses that emphasize ball movement and team play.
In the spirit of our basketball style, our defense employs a man-to-man strategy, pairing every defensive player with an offensive counterpart to guard. We center our practices around adaptability in the game, where players learn to react and adapt to specific game situations, thereby becoming skilled team members.
Christian initially played at Cal State East Bay, and transferred to California State San Marcos University - CSUSM. He was a standout performer for the SMHS Knights varsity team and earned All-Palomar League First Team honors.
Read more »Coach Nic is a JV coach at SMHS and as a player has led his team to a 2021 CIF Playoffs title. He scored a team-high points at the 2022 Open Division Quarterfinals and played in the competitive Avocado League and CIF San Diego Section.
Read more »Lila played varsity basketball for three years as team captain, earning Second Team All-League and All-Tournament honors. Competed with Prolific AAU, attended UCSD College Camps, and have coaching experience at high school and community camps.

Read more »Ezekiel is a 10th grader at Sage Creek High and played Freshman basketball in the 2024-25 school year. He also plays JV & Varsity Basketball and AAU for Coastal Elite. He coached in the San Marcos WREC league and assisted at various sports camps.
Read more »Main coach at San Marcos Basketball. Ciprian is a national junior basketball player. He played for the Romanian National Basketball team for 4 years and in Romania, A pro division for 2 years, as a power forward, winning championships and medals at ages 15 through 18.
Read more »She played basketball for 8 years through middle school and high school, and for the last 5 years, she's been training the teams in San Marcos with Prolific Basketball and Thunder Teams. Hilda is one of the SEMS San Elijo Middle School JV coaches.
