Coach Tony Brown is the JV basketball Coach at Sage Creek High School. He was the Director of Basketball for the Basketball Development Academy in Los Angeles for two years. A graduate of the Impossible Training Academy, he studied basketball skill development from Micah Lancaster, an NBA All-Star trainer. He has trained Middle school, High School, College, and professional athletes.
He dedicated his coaching to developing a skill set that translates in the real game at all levels. He firmly believes that no matter the age group, all players should be trained to be a three-level scorer. According to him, all basketball players must understand concepts such as angles, hip control, contact manipulation, pace, drive lines, and other IQ-related fundamentals as a foundational part of their skill development. But above all, sports development is the best backdrop for lifelong skills that will impact the life and success of a young person beyond the game of basketball, and more importantly, the game of life.
